Afternoon Golfers,
Opening Day 1st Feb Canadian foursomes mixed teams or non mixed, names in by 9.15am mass start 9.30am.
9 hole golfers are welcome and tee off is at 10.30am.
Next Saturday 7th Feb 2nd round of Hastie Trophy and a haggle. Starter H. Simpson, if unable to be starter let me know.
The club would like to acknowledge the life membership awarded to Brett Williams at the annual general meeting.
A familiar face to many at the club, Brett started as a sponsor more than 40 years ago.
Since then he served a significant number of years on the committee in a variety of roles, including president and treasurer.
When the club needed to run major fundraisers, Brett was at the forefront and was behind a number of important initiatives, including new tee signs which have continued to provide the club with important annual income.
Brett was also responsible for getting a number of major sponsors aligned with the club, many who still provide support today.
The club would also like to thank Geoff and Steve Otene for purchasing an overhead canopy which would be used on our fairway mower.
Despite some poor weather throughout January the volunteers and staff using the mower appreciate the shade it will provide and the gesture from the Otene brothers.
Those on a summer sub this ends today if you have not committed to playing on yet you will need to pay green fees from the 1st Feb,
All other members will have till the end of Feb to either pay or sort out a plan for subs otherwise your membership will be paused and you will pay green fees. All those that have paid as of today your membership tags will be in club rooms Sunday then any others will be on Saturdays.
I will be doing up a starter sheet with dates and sending out, if you are unable to be a starter let me know also if you need to change weekends can you sort this out yourself with other starters just let me know if this happens, thanks.
If you wish to have a go being a starter even the juniors let me know and I can add you in training will be provided.
