The irrigation works being undertaken at the golf course have been largely completed and we have been fortunate to have dry weather and things have not turned to mud!

However, we would like to get the trench restoration completed as soon as practical to make the course safe and improve playing conditions.

 

We will be having a large working bee next Wednesday 27 May and we invite any club members (Ladies & men) who are available to help out here. Can bring shovel , rakes, rammers etc, whatever will help backfill and compact the trenches, make morning tea, lunch etc.

We welcome any of our younger members to assist although we realise that this is not always practical with family and work commitments.

We intend to start at 9.00 am with a briefing, then break for morning tea at 11.00 am, then finish at 1.30pm with a luncheon (barbeque?) and open the bar for those that would like a drink.

The course will be closed during these works from 9.00am to 1.30 pm to assist the work flow and also for safety reasons .

 

This Saturday there is no Club Champs for the men as it is a long weekend, KINGS Birthday,so we will be holding Town v Country just show up to the starter from 9am and you will be told who you are playing for and only cost $1 to enter. There will be flights for club champs if you do not wish to play please let me know before I do the draw for next round which will come out next weekend the 2nd of June, flights is for the golfers who lost first round of their match only.

 

1st off June is fast approaching and we have our HTL Sponsored tournament so far we have 83 entries and only 21 spots left at a cost of $30 to enter, get your name in quick if you would like to play, message/ring me and I can put you in 0274708710.

 

Just like to say a MASSIVE thanks to all that helped out with all the fire wood a special thanks to Basil for sorting out deliveries and taking the calls there was 130 cube in 15 months good going team.

 

Yesterday as I was playing my round of golf I noticed what looked like some fresh divots can we PLEASE replace them Mark and his team do a lot to keep our course in fantastic order its not hard to help out his team if we can all help by replacing your divots, THANKS.
